The Animal Pad

The Animal Pad is a non-profit, all breed dog rescue that focuses on saving dogs from high kill shelters and the streets of Mexico.

The Animal Pad gets them vet care, places them in foster homes and then finds them loving forever families. A few years ago, they turned their attention to the street dogs of Mexico as there is very little help for them. Since then, they have developed a large rescue network in Baja California and have a sister shelter in Ensenada that they focus on taking dogs from whenever funds allow.

The Humane Society

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Their lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, they provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. The Community Pet Pantry is a safety-net program of the San Diego Humane Society that helps keep pets with their families by providing essential food and supplies to thousands of struggling pet owners each month.

The Humane Society of Imperial County's mission is to better the community for both animals and people by placing as many orphaned pets into loving forever homes, and to enhance the relationship between animals and people through education. Click here to learn more.
