How March and Ash and Female Prisoners in Mexico Found a Common Thread

Through a unique collaboration between March and Ash and the Red Thread Project, 200 limited edition March and Ash hats have been produced and all proceeds from these hats will go to support Mexico’s Red Thread Project.

At March and Ash, we pride ourselves on creating a comfortable and confident cannabis experience and while prioritizing customer education, safety, and satisfaction. Our commitment to community is evident through initiatives like partnering with the YMCA to provide childcare for our workers, employing unionized dispensary staff with fair wages and benefits, and our dedication to elevating the cannabis industry.

Our commitment to social responsibility naturally aligned us with Roberto and Araceli Mareno of Mexico’s Red Thread Project. This incredible initiative provides incarcerated women in Mexico with sewing skills and entrepreneurial opportunities, addressing the social and familial impacts of incarceration. Many of these women have been affected by the larger drug war, finding themselves as collateral damage in circumstances beyond their control.

100% of Proceeds Support Red Thread Project

Through a unique collaboration between March and Ash and the Red Thread Project, we have produced 200 limited edition March and Ash hats. Inspired by the San Diego Padres “City Connect” style, these hats celebrate our cross-border bonds and shared responsibilities.

100% of Proceeds Support Red Thread Project

These special hats are available in-store only at select March and Ash locations until they sell out. All proceeds from the sales support Mexico’s Red Thread Project, aiding hundreds of female prisoners by providing trade skills, financial support, and a hopeful future for themselves, their families, and their communities upon re-entering society.
