Cannabis Infused Recipes for Lunar New Year

In celebration of the Lunar New Year, check out some cannabis infused recipes featuring honey and sriracha from Potli.

Happy Lunar New Year March and Ash family! In celebration, we’re sharing inspiration from our favorite pantry brand Potli. Their chili oil, sriracha, and hot honey (equal parts raw honey and sriracha) are the perfect festive toppings for your lunar new year celebrations.

Potli was founded in 2017 by Bay Area natives Felicity Chen and Christine Yi as a way to honor their asian heritage in the cannabis space. Their super premium, everyday ingredients like honey, olive oil, chili oil, and sriracha are odes to Eastern medicine and the healing power of functional foods. Their honey is farmed in hives on Felicity's property in partnership with a multi-generational beekeeper who has been passionate about beekeeping for the past 30 years. They made this product for Felicity’s mom, an asthma patient and a first generation immigrant who has been deterred by the negative reputation of cannabis from exploring its health benefits. With her in mind, they set out to craft a product customers could trust, where quality or dosage was undoubtedly clear and apparent.

Spicy Cilantro-Lime Shrimp Tacos

Products: Potli Sriracha

Serves 2


  • 3/4 cup medium sized shrimp, deveined
  • 6 tortillas
  • 2 limes
  • Cilantro for garnish


  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • Squeeze of lime juice

Cabbage slaw

  • 1/2 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup red onion
  • 1/2 tbsp of olive oil
  • Squeeze of lime juice
  • Salt to taste

Spicy Cilantro-Lime Sauce

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp potli sriracha
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. In a bowl, mix together all the ingredients for marinade. Add shrimp and mix until coated. Leave in the fridge covered for a minimum of 20 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, toss together slaw ingredients and set aside.
  3. For sauce, mix together mayonnaise and sriracha until well incorporated. Stir in minced garlic and chopped garlic. Add salt and pepper to taste. If the sauce is a bit thick, add a few drops of water to thin it out.
  4. Grill shrimp on medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes or until fully cooked through.
  5. For assembly, add some slaw and shrimp to tortillas. Drizzle sauce, squeeze limes, and garnish with cilantro.


Elevated Avocado Toast

Products: Potli Sriracha


  • Ripe avocado
  • Sourdough bread, sliced
  • Potli THC Sriracha Sauce, 100mg per bottle
  • ¼ wedge of lemon
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


Place sliced avocado on toasted bread and season with lemon, salt, and pepper. Feel free to add other flavorings like garlic powder, cherry tomatoes, or top with a fried egg. Add desired amount of Potli Sriracha (we used 6ml, using dropper measurements for a 5mg dosage) for an energizing and creativity-enhancing effect.

Sunrise Smoothie


  • 1 tbsp Potli raw honey
  • 12 oz water or milk (we love hemp)
  • 2 scoops protein or collagen powder
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 cup pineapple
  • 1 tbsp ground flax
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes
  • Optional: 1/3 cup of yogurt, 1 tsp of of turmeric

Directions: Blend and enjoy!
