2021 Hall of Flowers Preview

The Hall of Flowers is an event that brings together the best of the best in the cannabis industry for education, networking, and sharing the mutual love of cannabis. Check out the brands we expect to learn more about during 2021's upcoming event. Written by Tom S.

The 2021 Hall of Flowers will be holding two events this year. The first one is being held in September at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, which is also home to the grower’s competition, The Emerald Cup. The second event will happen in December in Palm Springs, CA.

The Hall of Flowers is a two-day industry only event and it is not open to the public. It brings together the best of the best in the cannabis industry for education, networking, and sharing the mutual love of cannabis. This who’s who of cannabis events is the only trade show of its kind, elevating the cannabis industry to “a new level of cultural significance."

California's Hub for Cannabis

Northern California has long been the hub of cannabis in the U.S. It is a prime location for remote mountain growing, and of course, home to the Emerald Triangle. The Emerald Triangle is made up of the three biggest cannabis producing counties in the world: Mendocino, Humboldt, and Trinity. Just a few hours south of the triangle and north of San Francisco lies Santa Rosa, home of the Hall of Flowers. Its close proximity to the triangle and SFO international airport makes it the perfect location for a cannabis trade show.

This event facilitates networking for premium cannabis brands and retailers, creating a stronger market of commerce for the industry. Brands from every corner of the state will be there to showcase products and innovations ranging from flower, concentrates, edibles, topicals, accessories, business management, and technology.

Brand Preview

The long list of cannabis brands attending Hall of Flowers is a testament to how far we have come and how much has been achieved in this industry. Some of the brands we expect to learn more about are BEED, Krucial Cannabis and Summerland.

The BEED Machine

The world’s first capsule based appliance for cannabis will be at the Hall of Flowers 2021. Made by a brand called BEED , this box is about the size of a standard rubik's cube and is an all-in-one contained, automatic joint rolling machine.

The concept of this product is to replace stale pre-rolls with an automatically rolled fresh joint. The entire system is contained within the box, which means that no grinding, no measuring, no rolling, and no clean-up is required. The BEED machine rolls a joint in about 20 seconds, which is much faster than most humans.

Is this the future of cannabis consumption? How far off are we from a vending machine that does the same thing, where you’d be able to choose a cultivar and rolling paper material, and maybe some additional infusions like live resin or rosin? Maybe we’re not too far, as technology and cannabis have been evolving within the industry for a while now. Pioneers like the Storz & Bickel Volcano Vaporizer system were the first to show us how tech and cannabis consumption work together, long before the licensed cannabis market we see today.

Krucial Cannabis

Krucial Cannabis specializes in premium indoor and outdoor flowers and puts ecological conservation at the forefront of their brand. They source high quality cannabis from a diverse network of farms to bring consumers some of the best weed California has to offer.

California is unique in many ways. Its land formations and climates are as diverse as the people that live there. There are not many places in the world where you can see the desert, ocean, mountains, and valleys all in one day. This unique landscape on the west coast of the U.S. is home to the largest trees in the world, the Redwoods. California is home to 9 National Parks, more than any other state in the country. Krucial is committed to the preservation and stewardship of California and as such, only works with cultivators utilizing regenerative farming practices.

Krucial sets itself apart from other cannabis brands in a few ways. First, the branding’s natural style and return-to-earth-roots theme is a step away from the run-of-the-mill “elevated luxury cannabis” branding. It is a breath of fresh, natural air in this landscape of power, money, and clout we deem the cannabis industry. This company speaks to a conservation minded consumer, who’s not only worried about their own impact on the environment, but also with the impact made by brands they consume.

While the cannabis industry is big on trends, Krucial’s genetics lineup is unparalleled. When a new cultivar is released, it's a mad race for breeders everywhere to get their hands on it and cross it with hopes of creating the next big hype strain.

Krucial’s genetic lineup does not follow the same industry genetic trends, and they have seemingly forged their own path in choosing unique cultivars like Wonka Bars, Lemon Ice Cream, and Animal Land. Many times sativa choices across brands remain the same, such as Jack, Blue Dream, or possibly a Silver Haze, or Tangie. But Krucial does things differently with unique sativa choices including Roll’s Choice, a Chemdawg x OG cross, and Wonka Bars, a cross of GMO x Mint Chocolate Chip. Wonka Bars is a more gas and skunk-laden sativa than the usual run of the mill citrus, menthol flavor profiles as seen before. And of course their lineup includes some California favorites like True OG, OG Kush, White Runtz, Wedding Cake, and Kush Cake.

Summerland

Summerland is an American company that makes ceramic bongs and pipes. This is a unique change from the norm of borosilicate glass, which is the most commonly used material in modern water bong making.

Inspired by the natural beauty of Northern California, Summerland has taken its love for the environment and nature as an influence in their line of ceramic bongs and pipes, or “Stonerware” as they aptly refer to it. Their collection contains ceramic bongs of various sizes, pipes, and chillums. All of which are sustainably crafted in small batches in Northern California.

Their lineup includes 3 simple bongs that vary in price from $165-$275, a crystal shaped pipe ($65), a ceramic simulated apple ($85), or a chillum ($55). All of their pipes can double as an incense burner as well. However, if you don’t want to use your smoking device as an incense burner, they have dedicated incense burners for about $75.

A full list of attending brands and retailers is available on the Hall of Flowers website. March and Ash is looking forward to sharing with you all the great products, technologies and brands we will be bringing to the shelves in the year to come.
