Focus V CARTA2: Evolution of the Digital Dab Rig

Earlier this spring Focus V Products, the leading technology and software company specializing in ancillary cannabis accessories, launched the Focus V CARTA2. Select retailers like March and Ash were given advanced access to the latest evolution of the portable electronic dab rig.

Since the birth of concentrates and hash, preferred methods of consumption continue to evolve. Long gone are the days of hot knifing powder and temple ball hash with two knives and a stove. High tolerance patients, as well as experienced dabbers and hash heads have grown accustomed to the terpene forward experience of dabbing concentrates.

As extraction methods started producing the shatters, crumbles and first live resin sugars, the method of consumption evolved to the use of titanium skillets and nails. As extraction types improved to live resin sauces, sugar and THCa crystals, the consumption methods evolved to glass and quartz nails and globes. A butane torch, glass dab rigs and quartz bangers have long been the preferred method of consuming your favorite BHO live resin and solventless rosin concentrates.

Heady dabbers eventually put down the dab torch and traded up to the first iteration of induction heating consumption with an electric dab nail. This introduced the heating of material by means of an electric current that flows through the material or its container by electromagnetic induction. Even though this simplified the process of temperature control, it still needed to be plugged into an outlet.

The CARTA 2 boasts a larger atomizer with a 360° heating element and optimized airflow. Quick heat-up times and intuitive haptic feedback helps provide a rich and seamless smoking experience. These presets are only a starting point.
